How do I activate a user account connected to ForenSys?
Ask ForenSys via their support tool to activate Ketl for your account.
You can choose the category Others.
Example of a request you can use:
Hello, Could you please activate a ketl license for the user [LAST NAME] [FIRST NAME] with the email name.lastname@client.com? Thanks in advance!
Once you have received confirmation, follow the normal activation procedure.
How do I link a ForenSys project to Ketl ?
Ketl can be connected to ForenSys to enable information to be exchanged between the platforms and avoid unnecessary data entry.
When a case is created, or on an existing case, you can link it to ketl from ForenSys. The link between ForenSys provides the following functions:
- Transmission of case information to ketl (customer name, description, case number, manager, etc.)
- Link between files stored on SharePoint
- Automatic case detection for filing documents received from customers via ketl
Prerequisites:
- Your ketl account must be activated and linked to ForenSys: Click here to see how
Go to ForenSys
1Open the case to be linked, then in the left-hand sidebar, click on Files
If the Open Ketl link button is displayed, this means that the case has already been linked. If you want to redo the link, you can Delete the link and then redo it as described in the next step.
You now need to choose which SharePoint directory to link the case to
2A file explorer displays the storages connected to your ketl account. To navigate the explorer, you can click on the directory name to open it. When you've found the directory you want to store the case, click on the Select button to the right of the directory.
ForenSys now offers you two options:
- Link to directory: Activate option if the directory is the one that should contain the case tree
(‘Correspondence’ etc...) - Create a new tree structure: Activate the option if you have selected the client directory. This will create a sub-folder for you with the case name and the tree structure inside.
- Link to directory: Activate option if the directory is the one that should contain the case tree
Now open Ketl
3Go to another tab on your browser at https://app.ketl.ch, go to the search page. You should be able to find the case in question and, if any documents have already been added, they will also be displayed.
Here is an example after searching for
George
:
If any documents do not appear, even though there are some in the SharePoint directory, open the project and check that the directory you have chosen is the correct one.
